This is my second Brother MFC and now that the dust has settled I hope it is as good as its predecessor. As several previous posters have already pointed out, the LCD is terrible, and I have to use a flashlight to see it. And the Brother computer utilities to perform the various tasks of this printer are not entirely easy to understand or use, and I am saying this as an experienced user who has had multiple scanners and printers.

It is the model that does not need the chip for the toner cartridge. Unfortunately, it appears that Brother has changed his new models to need a chip.
